  Last summer (2008), I had lost 30 pounds and wanted to increase my fitness level.  I am a runner, and was doing about a 10-minute mile.  I wanted to increase my speed to run 9:30s in the Hood to Coast.  I did an 8-week session with Fitness Works, and at the end of my session I ran Hood to Coast at 9-minute miles.  No other change in my training, just the addition of those twice-a-week sessions made a huge difference, not to mention my increased upper body strength, which allowed me to swing on the monkey bars with my kids for the first time.   Barbara W.
